One hour, one bowl, everything settles.
A place to sit in silence. To reflect, consider and simply be. As the ceremony unfolds around you, the noise of the day begins to soften - leaving space to notice, to breathe, and to return to the present moment.

E'Tea'quette

Tea is a practice of presence. To help preserve the quiet of the space and allow everyone to experience the ceremony fully, we ask that you follow a few simple guidelines.1. Arrive in silence - From the moment you enter, we invite you to settle into mindful silence.2. Phones silent, shoes off - Please switch your phone to silent, remove your shoes and place your belongings in the area provided.3. Remain in mindful silence - We ask that silence be maintained throughout the ceremony, allowing yourself and those around you to be fully present.4. Come and go mindfully - If you need to use the bathroom or excuse yourself at any point, you are welcome to do so. Simply move quietly and be mindful of those around you.5. Passing your tea - If you are seated in the front row, please place the tea on the floor in front of the person seated behind you. There is no need to let them know.6. Returning your bowl - If you are seated in the second row, place your tea bowl on the floor slightly in front of you when you are finished, allowing the person in the front row to collect it.7. Drink what feels right - There is no expectation to finish all of the tea in your bowl, or to drink at every round. Please listen to your body and drink only what feels comfortable for you. Please return your bowl each time, even if you haven't finished your tea, to remain in rhythm with the ceremony.8. The closing bell - A small bell will chime to mark the end of the ceremony. When it does, please gather your things and leave in mindful silence.Thank you for helping us hold the special space of tea.
